ACO On The Pier is the Australian Chamber Orchestra's purpose-built contemporary venue at the northern end of the historic Walsh Bay pier precinct. The Neilson, the primary performance space, seats up to 275 and is engineered for both classical acoustic and amplified performance with equal care. Alongside it sit the glass-fronted Belgiorno Room and The Studio, with Sydney Harbour visible from multiple vantage points throughout the building. The venue sits within one of Sydney's most architecturally engaging precincts, and the contemporary pier architecture with harbour views through glass walls gives any event there an inherent visual quality. For event photographers and videographers covering live performances, recitals, or corporate dinners in The Neilson, the contemporary timber and acoustic-panel interior creates warm, flattering light that reads well on camera.
