Seafarers occupies the historic Seafarers Building at 52 Tyler Street in Britomart, spanning several floors of a landmark maritime-era building that was sensitively restored as part of the wider Britomart precinct transformation. What resulted is a private members' club with a rooftop, a screening room, a long-lunching lounge, and one of the better harbour outlooks in the city. The club was co-founded by the Shine Group and chef Josh Emett, which gives it a creative pedigree that runs through both the events it hosts and the food on offer. Private events and creative gatherings are held across the various levels, with the top-floor deck being a particularly sought-after setting. For Auckland event photographers and videographers, the building's heritage bones, harbour-facing rooftop, and creative membership base make for some genuinely interesting event coverage. The rooftop in particular lends itself to motion, with the harbour skyline providing a natural backdrop for video coverage. This isn't a standard function room experience, and the images and footage reflect that.
